About us
In the warmer months, life at The Lamb — day and night — very much revolves around the courtyard. Colourful hanging baskets and a pergola (complete with its own vine) add to the courtyard’s appeal making it a delightful spot for lunch or dinner or to spend a long and relaxing afternoon with friends. Marlborough has always been a favourite ‘weekend
in the country’ destination.
Our central location, coupled with good food, the pub’s convivial atmosphere and high quality accommodation makes The Lamb an excellent base for discovering what the market town of Marlborough and this part of Wiltshire has to offer.
And by the way, we have no problem with well-behaved, dogs and kids, or adults for that matter! Our friendly pub dogs - Ludo the English bulldog and Ebi the French bulldog, welcome you with open paws!
Food
Although Jackie likes to use locally-sourced produce, she’s always prepared to look much further afield for unique, regional specialties. So one of the attractions of eating at the Lamb is that the menu changes from one day to the next..
As well as long-standing favourites such as 28-day aged rib eye, beer-battered cod and chips or corn beef hash with a fried egg, you may also be tempted by a hand-raised pork pie, duck confit, real kedgeree or a Thai curry in the winter months. At other times of the year you might be eating scallops and black pudding, eggs Benedict, carpet clams or coq au vin.
Lunch and dinner, there’s a varied menu and you can sit and eat in any of the pub’s three rooms, in the courtyard (weather permitting) or in the Stable dining room which is away from the main building, just off the courtyard and will seat a maximum of 25 guests.
We welcome private parties. If you’re planning a get together of family or friends, the intimate and cosy setting of The Stable room makes it ideal for parties of 15 to 25 people. Lunch is served seven days a week; dinner is available Monday – Thursday

Stable
The stable is original and still has the manger and the remains of the stall...
It’s a very versatile space and has been a great venue for lots of private dinner parties, birthdays christenings, wakes and even a few small weddings!
The simple decoration of the stable lends itself well to be personalised for different occasions and the phone dock to add your own choice of music.
Menu’s too can be created to reflect the occasion and likes and dietary needs of your guests. This can be in the form of courses; hot or cold buffets; sharing plates, in fact we’ll give anything a try!
Live Music
The Lamb has a long tradition of live music...
This continues with regular weekly gigs on Saturday evenings. Follow us on Facebook to see upcoming gigs.
Most musical styles have been witnessed through the years and the choices are still as eclectic as ever with Blues to Ska and reggae to rock.
There is always something to entertain... and maybe even educate!
