eagerly awaiting what is likely to be a heavily subscribed first night.

Marlborough's elegant High Street and in particular the Grade II listed Lloran House, is a worthy site for a pedigree restaurant. The Georgian building is currently receiving the final touches to its transformation into an 84-seat restaurant, remaining sympathetic to its period architecture whilst delivering a stylish and contemporary feel throughout . Rick Stein said, “Marlborough is such a beautiful town in a wonderful part of the country and it’s Rick-Stein-copyright-Anna-McCarthy

incredibly exciting to be opening a restaurant there. As soon as I saw Lloran House I thought it would make the perfect restaurant. ' Rick, along with Group Executive Chef, Jack Stein and newly appointed Head Chef, Kevin Chandler are currently finalising the menus whilst Group Wine Buyer, Charlie Stein, is crafting a carefully chosen wine list.

Rick Stein Marlborough’s dishes will remain faithful to Rick’s roots with a heavy focus on seafood, but in keeping with Wiltshire’s rich farming heritage, there will also be a number of locally sourced meat and game dishes. 'I’m very much in favour of local food and we’ll be looking to highlight some of the best produce in Wiltshire” says Rick. Guests will be able to enjoy some of his most iconic dishes such as the Dover Sole a la Meunière and Turbot Hollandaise but will also be able to choose from a delicious selection of new dishes including Salt Pork Belly with split pea puree and sauerkraut, and Baked Guinea Fowl with garlic beans and smoked sausage.

Alongside the a la carte menu there will a set lunch option and a tempting array of desserts.Whether you're looking for a proper blow-out at the weekend or a quick mid-week bite, Rick Stein Marlborough looks set to deliver. Bookings are now being taken via the website www.rickstein.com or by calling 01672 233333.
