It seems bizarre that our beautiful town has been so lacking in sophisticated places to enjoy a quality spirit, cocktails and a generous selection of Gin!

Thankfully our Christmas prayers have been answered as we welcome the best-kept secret in town: Watson’s Gin Bar.

Nestled in a private room as part of the recently refurbished The Bear pub, Watson’s Gin Bar is a haven of relaxation with an impressive selection of over 26 fine Gin’s, ranging from favourites such as Pinkster’s Gin for a strawberry hit and Monkey 47

that boasts 47 different botanicals for an incredibly sophisticated drinking experience. The bar takes their Gin seriously, with mixologists helping you concoct the perfect drink for your taste and a selection of Fever Tree mixers infused with freshly chopped fruit and fresh herbs.

If you are not a Gin fanatic, do not fear as the Bar stocks a large selection of fine wines as well as other quality spirits, including a large selection of specialist spiced rum’s and signature cocktails!

The bar is open every Thursday, Friday and Saturday night from 7:00pm until close and has plenty of comfortable arm chairs to savour your tipple, a pool table and a vinyl player for those looking to reminisce! You can even bring your own vinyl to play!

Watson's is also available for exclusive hire for parties and occasions.
