It will come as no surprise to habitués of this Marlborough institution to learn that last week The White Horse Bookshop was awarded Business of the Year at the Wiltshire Life Awards where community and professional representatives gathered to celebrate excellence and achievement in Wiltshire. The award comes in recognition of the shop's unique business model under the guidance of Manager Angus Maclennan (above right), in creating a perfect storm of cultural synergy with its three floors of new, rare and collectible books, regular art exhibitions and workshops.
