Many of us make doomed resolutions for the New Year; we are going to get fit, join a gym or give up smoking and swearing. We all know that these bold promises made to ourselves rarely come to fruition, but there is something inside us which longs to mark the beginning of another year in a significant fashion, affirming our commitment to live the life we really want rather than the one we merely put up with. But you don't have to starve yourself or setlynne Pomeroy unrealistic goals in order to get that sense of renewal which can make us excited about the future, whatever our age. Each week for the early part of 2017, Townsite will be carefully selecting some real gems to give your new year an optimistic edge.

When we think of positive change we tend to focus on the externals - a new body, new home, new job or expensive holiday - but if we want to achieve lasting satisfaction then we need to focus on our insides too. 'It's all about getting the base layer right', says Lynne Pomeroy, also known as the Message Giver. Lynne, who describes herself as an intuitive coach and energy reader works with her spirit guides to put people in touch with their true self-beliefs by tuning in and seeing what she finds. 'It's really all about changing perceptions', she says.

message giver book cover feedLynne's evolution as a intuitive coach has been a long process which began at the age of 17 when she was told she had a gift which she needed to develop. It was advice she ignored until she was pregnant with her daughter and had a profound experience which set her more determinedly on her path, joining a Spiritualist Church where she learned to hone and channel her skill. But it was ten years ago when a friend booked her a slot at a psychic fair that things really took off. Since that time she has been working with clients individually, identifying how and where they are often falsely programmed to see themselves and using what she refers to as her 'negativity assassins' to root out people's blockages and attachments to old ways of being which keep them stuck.

Lynne works either in person with her clients at a venue of their choosing, or via Skype. Each session is recorded so that the information can be used for reflection after the reading. She is quite firm that people must not feed her message giverinformation either before or during the session as it can interfere with the messages she is receiving. 'It's really about getting in touch with our own self-beliefs, bringing stuff to the forefront and getting past blockages in our lives.'

An initial session with Lynne costs £45 and lasts around an hour with a half hour top up for £30 at a later date if needed. For less than the cost of a cut and blow dry you could start 2017 with a clean emotional slate. You can call Lynne on 07834 527960 or go to www.messagegiver.co.uk
